Clearing Plots
Basic Clearing
The fastest way to clear plots is to;
Start by clearing the trees with a Treecapitator or a Spruce Axe[1] Use an Efficiency 5 Golden shovel and a Efficiency 5 Golden pickaxe to dig the dirt and cobblestone above y=71.- Then clear bushes using a Garden Scythe, you can still do this step if you have Sam's Scythe but I would recommend just using step 1 if you can.
Clearing to Bedrock
NOTE: If you are going to be making a custom farm design DO NOT skip this step
To create custom farm designs you will need a plot emptied to bedrock, the fastest way to achieve this is to use TNT.
- you can get TNT at the Redstone Engineer in the basement of the Builder's house.
- paste Super Flat preset
- place a sufficient amount of TNT above the preset to blow up all of the dirt
- you can get rid of the rest of the dirt using a shovel
This will blow up nearby plots as-well, if you want to avoid that, use a Builder's ruler
Basic Information
- Farming Direction: You have built a farm in the "wrong" orientation you can still farm the farm. They tell you to build the farm in a certain direction for ease of building but it doesn't affect the actual farming. You can find the right angle by changing your yaw by intervals of 90° until you are facing the right direction.
- "Outdated": If a farm is featured in this list it is still used regularly by elites regardless of the title of the video linked.
- Black cat: The black cat bug was patched if new speeds are required for the farm there will be a note, please refer to the faq for which pets to use.
- Fermento vs Rancher Boots: Maxed fermento boots offer more farming fortune and money then ranchers boots but dont have the utility of being able to change your speed, learn more here.
