Frequently asked questions about farming!
What do I upgrade next for Farming Fortune?
You can look up your profile on the Elite Farmers website to determine missing upgrades. Some things will have to be input manually due to the information not being in Hypixel's API.
Another option is downloading the mod SkyHanni and using the /ff command in game. You can then click on the paper icon on the left of the menu that appears and get a list of upgrades. Note that nowadays this is quite outdated and is missing some of the newer upgrades, but it will still get you up to speed with many baseline upgrades.
How much money/coins should I be making?
There are a few ways you can see estimated profit/hr.
- SkyHanni - Use the
/sh money per hourfeature to see a list of your estimated profit per hour for each crop. - Elite Website - Visit your profile on elitebot.dev and view the Rates tab, from there you can select options and view your profit per hour when selling crops to NPC.
- Elite Bot - Use the
/ratescommand from the Elite Discord bot (available in the Elite Farmers Discord), you can enter your farming fortune number and get estimated profit when selling to NPC.
Which pet is best?
Mooshroom Cow - Best pet for coins/h (and mushroom collection/h) even at 0 strength. Equal to elephant for collection/h for all crops from 1143 strength, better from 1172 and up.
Elephant - Second best pet for collection/h for all crops. Only use if you have under 1143 strength and dont care about money.
Rabbit - Best pet for farming exp. Use on mushrooms for the most XP gain.
Bee - Not really worth for farming, only gives 50 farming fortune when maxed.
Black Cat - Older designs abused a bug with the black cat to get over 400 speed, however that bug has been patched and Black Cat has become obsolete.

Bountiful or Blessed?
Bountiful - Use for profit, you get around
~200k-1.4m more coins per hour depending on the crop and farming fortune. Bountiful gives .2 coins per crop drop, not blocks broken. Crops with a higher drop rate like melon benefit significantly from bountiful.
Blessed - Use for collections/milestones or XP, but it's not significantly faster for either. Blessed is usually only recommended when grinding xp for Farming 40.
Lotus Cloak or Zorro's Cape?
Zorro's cape is on average +13.33 Farming Fortune better than lotus if both are maxed.
When a contest is active, even if you don't participate, maxxed Zorro's cape will be +48 Farming Fortune better than maxxed lotus, and outside a contest it is -4 Farming Fortune worse than lotus.
You may think that because it's worse outside a contest, you should switch to lotus, but you would have to switch in under 2.1 seconds! which is realistically not happening, so always keep your Zorro's cape active.
TL;DR
Zorro's cape is better than lotus. Just make sure you have Zorro unlocked before you buy!
